Since its inception in July 2003 Task Recruitment has quickly established itself as one of the more proactive and successful performers in the Australian ICT Recruitment market place. While Task covers all areas of ICT Recruitment, where they are particularly strong is in all aspects of Infrastructure, Application Development and Engineering in the Microsoft, .NET, UNIX and Java/J2EE space. This includes skill sets in Strategic Planning, Business Analysis, Project Management and Architectural Design in Applications and Infrastructure, Programming, Testing, Implementation, Support, and Technical Writing. Task Recruitment's expertise is based on an in-depth understanding of the ICT Industry as a whole, which comes from the combined sixty years plus ICT experience of the three Directors. Over thirty of those years have been spent in ICT Recruitment directly. Task Recruitment's Directors are active in the business on a day to day basis, working with both clients and candidates, ensuring the business is running efficiently, effectively and that it is meeting both their clients and candidates needs. Bernie OrrockBernie has an extensive ICT career which commenced in 1981 with Wang Computer as an Engineer and included stints with Digital Equipment Corporation and Alcatel in Sales and Management roles. Bernie established Recruitment Central in Brisbane in 1995 with a focus on professional IT recruitment. Recruitment Central was acquired by Addeco in 2000. Bernie spent the next three years in a management and leadership role with the Adecco IT brand Icon. Bernie then left Icon and founded Task Recruitment in July 2003.
Forty GalluzzoAfter graduating in 1986 Forty commenced his ICT Career as a Software Engineer/Developer for QUT before moving to Star Systems. Forty then contracted for various organisations including Queensland Treasury, Credit Union Australia, Dept of Justice NT and Anderson Contracting. He started recruiting in 1993 and joined Bernie at Recruitment Central in 1997.
James ShekletonAfter starting his ICT career with Dunn & Brad Street in London in 1987 James moved into Systems Integration before migrating to Australia in 1989. On his arrival in Australia he joined Sunrise Computer Systems as an Account Manager before being promoted to Sales Manager then General Manager and then to State Manager. James was first involved with ICT Recruitment with the establishment of Recruitment@Sunrise in 1996. James joined Task as a Partner in March 2006.
